The Kansas Energy Information Network (KEIN) was
founded in 2001 by Scott White with funds from a state grant.
Those funds ran out in June 2006 and the web-site is now run
independently. The primary purpose of KEIN is to be a
clearinghouse for energy information in Kansas and surrounding
states with a focus on energy
efficiency and renewable energy. By creating an archive of
energy news along with maps, pictures, and case studies of various
energy projects, KEIN tries to enable those who wish to be better
informed to find the information that will allow that. It is hoped
that KEIN will be your first stop when seeking Kansas
and Great Plains energy information on the internet.
At the same time, while most of what is presented here
is information in the public domain, KEIN welcomes information from
the public that is happening your areas of interest - pictures,
information, and other accurate information that will allow others
to stay better informed.
While it is our intent to provide links to information that is as complete,
accurate and balanced as possible, it is likely there will be gaps in
the information presented. Should you encounter any such
gaps, please feel free to contact us.
